PINE BLUFF, Ark. (AP) - Workers at what will be Arkansas lottery outlets are taking classes at seminars across the state so they will be ready when the games begin. Powerball tickets are to go on sale Oct. 31, and scratch tickets are to launch on Sept. 28, about two weeks from now.
Intralot of Duluth, Ga. has been running the sessions. The business provides technical support to the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery. Officials say retailers pay a $100 application fee and are to pay a $10 per week satellite communication fee.
Stores will earn a five percent commission for each sale and a one percent commission each time the store cashes a ticket. --- Information from: Pine Bluff Commercial, http://www.pbcommercial.com
