LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Greg Childs lunged forward as far as his 6-foot-3 frame could reach, caught Ryan Mallett's pass and then rolled over in the end zone.
And that was merely his first highlight of the night.
Childs caught five passes for 140 yards Saturday night in by far the most impressive performance of his Arkansas career. The only thing missing was a win. The Razorbacks lost 52-41 to Georgia, so their sophomore receiver's effort went to waste.
Childs put the Razorbacks ahead 21-10 with his diving, 30-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter. Although Arkansas couldn't hold the lead, the Hogs showed a national television audience how dangerous they might be on offense this year. In the second half, Childs caught a 40-yard touchdown pass.
