Jet flyover planned for ASU-Troy game

JONESBORO, Ark. (9/22/09) - The Arkansas State Athletic Department has partnered with Captain John Tice for a jet flyover prior to the football game against Troy Saturday, Sept. 26.

Two A-10 fighter jets that flew during combat in Iraq and Afghanistan will fly over ASU Stadium during the national anthem.

Tice is a 2003 graduate of Arkansas State and is currently stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri.

"We are extremely honored and grateful that Captain Tice has given us the opportunity to be involved in such a spectacular event," said Gleen Hart, Associate Athletic Director for Marketing and Promotions.  "This will be a tremendous start to an outstanding game and will add to the exciting atmosphere."
