JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The sky above Jonesboro was filled with color Sunday afternoon when 500 butterflies were released.
This was the second year for the event that is held to bring families and others together to raise awareness for the Flo an Phil Jones Hospice House. The event was geared towards the entire family with entertainment and arts and crafts for kids.
The main attraction were the butterflies that were released back into nature.
"Butterflies are a symbol of hospice and so it was just natural that we could get the butterflies and let people enjoy their beauty," said Butterfly Release Committee Chairman John Lieblong.
An art show was also held inside featuring works by professional and amateur artists from around the area.
