Nebraska on track after 27-12 win at Mizzou

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Nebraska's 27-12 win at Missouri gives the Huskers an early advantage in the race for the Big 12 Conference's North Division title.

Missouri (4-1, 0-1 Big 12) has taken that title the past two years. But since 1996 the eventual North division champion has lost its conference opener only twice.

The Huskers (4-1, 1-0) scored 27 straight fourth-quarter points Thursday after falling behind 12-0 through the third quarter on a cold, rainy night in Columbia. Quarterback Zac Lee threw three touchdowns and outplayed his Missouri counterpart, Blaine Gabbert.

Gabbert entered the game leading the conference in passing efficiency and ranked fourth nationally in that category. But he completed just 17 of 43 passes for 134 yards with two interceptions and no touchdowns. It was his first game this season without a touchdown pass.
