Fayetteville-based business files for bankruptcy

SPRINGDALE, Ark. (AP) - A Fayetteville-based business that sells customized scents and colors of lotions and body washes has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Bath Junkie Inc. made the filing on Oct. 1 in federal bankruptcy court in Fayetteville.

According to the company's Web site, the mother-daughter team of Judy Zimmer and Jocelyn Murray have owned and operated various incarnations of the concept behind Bath Junkie since 1987.

The Web site says Bath Junkie has more than 50 locations in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Murray declined to comment on the bankruptcy filing, which listed assets of $1 million to $10 million and debts of $1 million to $10 million.

Murray's attorney, Theresa Pockrus of Fayetteville, says Bath Junkie locations will continue to operate while the bankruptcy case is pending. --- Information from: The Morning News, http://www.nwaonline.net/
