BAXTER CO, AR (KAIT) - According to the Baxter County Sheriff's Department, a fifth person has now been arrested in connection to a three month long joint law enforcement operation.
David Junior Pemberton was arrested after authorities found more than 11.3 grams of methamphetamine during execution of one of the search warrants at Pemberton's residence on Hwy 62 E.
As Region 8 News reported last week, two search warrants were executed last week and four people were arrested. David Pemberton was not found during this operation and had been sought by authorities ever since.
The Baxter County Sherriff's Office, the Mountain Home Police Department and the Arkansas State Police began a joint investigation approximately 3 months ago. Several undercover purchases of methamphetamine were made during this time.
David Junior Pemberton, age 54, was charged with:
Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Deliver, a class Y felony.
Distribution of Controlled Substance Near Certain Facilities, an unclassified felony.
David A. Pemberton turned himself into authorities. He posted bond of $25,000 and was released.
