JONESBORO, Ark. (10/13/09) - This weekend the Red Wolves Soccer Team will host their 2nd Annual "Playing in Pink: Cancer Awareness" Weekend on October 16th and 18th.
The Arkansas State soccer team will face Denver University at 3:30 p.m. Friday and they will battle North Texas on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. All games are free and open to the public at the ASU Soccer Complex.
As part of their "Playing in Pink: Cancer Awareness" Weekend, the ASU Soccer Team will make appearances at the Turtle Creek Mall from 7:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 15th and on Saturday, October 17th at the Wal-Mart located on Highland from 3-4 p.m.. During their Denver Game on Friday at 3:30 p.m., the ASU Soccer Team will host a special "Heroes" Ceremony to celebrate all those people who are close to the ASU program that have been touched by cancer.
All members of the soccer team will wear special edition pink jerseys during the weekend that will be available for purchase through a silent auction running from Friday, October 16th through Friday October 23rd.
