JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - Police in Jonesboro have arrested four Tennessee residents for counterfeiting.
Police say 30-year-old Justin Lake of Memphis, 19-year-old Jordan Wright of Burlison, 19-year-old Ashia Holliday of Burlison and Mindy Butterfield of Brighton were arrested Saturday.
It was not clear whether they yet had attorneys.
Officers say the four are suspected of producing and trafficking bogus money from Memphis to Jonesboro. Police say they confiscated about $5,000 in counterfeit $20 and $100 bills during the arrest at a Jonesboro motel.
Police say the arrests came after an informant contacted a Craighead County sheriff's deputy and said a Memphis man was trying to sell him counterfeit money.
