LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - When Ryan Mallett was growing up, he'd go to Houston Nutt's football camps. Now Mallett and Nutt will cross paths again when Arkansas plays Mississippi this weekend.
Mallett is the quarterback at Arkansas, and Nutt is the coach at Ole Miss.
Mallett went to high school in Texarkana, Texas, just across the border from Arkansas. He was a Razorbacks fan growing up, but Arkansas appeared set at quarterback when Mallett was a senior in high school.
He signed with Michigan but transferred to Arkansas after one season. By then, Bobby Petrino was the Razorbacks' coach. Nutt had left to take over at Ole Miss.
