Alexander is Missouri's go-to wide receiver

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Finally healthy as a senior, Danario Alexander has become Missouri's go-to wide receiver.

In Saturday's 33-17 loss at Oklahoma State, Alexander highlighted a career-high 180 receiving yards with a spectacular 48-yard grab and run. It gave the Tigers the lead in the second quarter.

He has led the Tigers in receptions in all but 1 of their games and his work has especially been good on the road. In the Tigers' three games away from Faurot Field this season, Alexander is averaging almost 10 catches and over 160 yards.

On Saturday, the Marlin, Texas, native will face off against his home-state Longhorns for the second time in his Missouri career.

Last season he was limited by a high ankle sprain to two catches and 18 yards in the Tigers' 56-31 defeat in Austin.
