Walnut Ridge, AR (KAIT) -Residents of Walnut Ridge had a party, right on the square in downtown for the Annual Iron Mountain Festival.
A kid-sized caboose carried young people around the festival grounds as thousands came together to celebrate walnut ridges history.
lots of food, fun, music and special guests were on hand to enjoy the weather and comradarie.
"We just try to have a day downtown in the fall and celebrate by having activities that are for our kids and also a lot of these booths are out here raising money for local charities or local schools" says festival chair Lorra Whitmire. Whitmire adds that this year they expect to have over 5 thousand attend the festival.
