The 12th annual Bono Toy Run was held Saturday. Eighty-five bikers with 96 riders all cruised and collected two truck-loads of toys.
President of the Sons of Bono motorcycle club, Hal Yarborough says the idea came from founder Danny Vaughn. Yarborough says Vaughn couldn't imagine a child waking up on Christmas Day without toys under their tree.
A list of children needing assistance is provided for the Sons of Bono by local counselors and officials. The toys go not only to Bono children, but kids in surrounding areas as well.
Yarborough and the others involved could not thank everyone enough for helping these children in need.
"Every year it gets bigger, better," he says, "everyone comes to help the children."
