Flashing lights and crime scene tape marked the scene of a deadly shooting Friday afternoon at Napier Trailer Park, in Paragould.

"The investigation is still ongoing," said Lt. Rick Dickinson, with Arkansas State Police.

Police say the Paragould Police Department received a threatening phone call earlier in the day from an individual at the address.  Police say 2 Paragould Police officers responded shortly after they received the call.  Police say preliminary investigations indicate when officers arrived, a man confronted them with a knife, advanced towards officers, and refused orders to drop the knife and were shot and killed by police.

Police say the man killed was 45-year-old, William Beasley.

Police say neither of the officers that responded to the home were injured.  Police say the body has been sent to the state crime lab.

"At the appropriate time when we get all of the information gathered, we'll turn over the file  to the prosecuting attorney who will at that point in time make a determination of what he thinks needs to be done if anything," said Lt. Dickinson.
