PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AP) - Police say a suicide bomber has killed three people including a police constable in Pakistan's main northwest city of Peshawar.
Police official Shaukat Khan says five other people were wounded in the blast Monday at Pathang Intersection on the well-known Ring Road around the troubled city. Television footage showed a destroyed rickshaw surrounded by security officials.
No group immediately claimed responsibility, but Islamist militants have staged numerous attacks in Pakistan over the past five weeks. Some 300 people have been killed.
The attacks appear aimed at undermining the government's resolve in its offensive against the Taliban in the South Waziristan tribal region.
