Wreck with farm equipment kills one

Jonesboro, AR (KAIT) - A three vehicle accident in Mississippi County Friday afternoon kills one person.

The accident happened around 6:00pm on State Highway 77 near Adams Gin in Leachville.  According to an Arkansas State Police report a cotton module driven by Kevin Hill, 28 of Black Oak was turning into the gin when the back end of the module crossed the center line and struck a Dodge Caravan traveling in the opposite direction. 

The Dodge then struck an Oldsmobile traveling behind the cotton module.  The driver of the Dodge van, Mary Springsten, age 84 of Leachville died as a result of her injuries.  According tot the police report, she was not wearing a seatbelt.  Neither driver in the other vehicles were injured.  It's unsure if either of the other drivers were wearing seatbelts.
