FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Rotnei Clarke set a Southeastern Conference record with 13 3-pointers, part of a scintillating 51-point performance in Arkansas' 130-68 win over Alcorn State on Friday night.
Clarke made 9 of his 3-pointers in the first half as the Razorbacks built a 71-26 lead in their first game after a tumultuous offseason. Arkansas (1-0) was missing five suspended players in its season opener against Alcorn State (0-1), but the small crowd at Bud Walton Arena had plenty to cheer about.
Clarke also broke the school scoring record, eclipsing Martin Terry's mark of 47 points.
Jemal Farmer added 28 points for the Razorbacks.
