POCAHONTAS, AR (KAIT) - Police report that they arrested a level 3 sex offender for failing to give notice on a change of address.

According to Pocahontas Police, 45 year old Robert Allen Nolte, a registered sex offender, was last registered to be staying at the 400 Block of DeShaw Trail in Randolph County. Police say they received a tip that Nolte was staying at the Hillcrest Inn on Highway 67 North in Pocahontas.

After investigating, Detective Arvin Volner reports that Nolte was staying at the hotel under the name "Robert Miller."

Robert Nolte is charged with failing to give notice on change of address, which is a class C felony.

The sex offender database shows Nolte's original offense was second degree sexual assault.
