Searcy police search for armed robbery suspects

SEARCY, AR (KAIT) - An evening armed robbery in Searcy leaves police searching for two suspects.

According to the news release from Searcy police, the incident happened around 9:35 p.m. when two black males entered Sexton Foods.

One of the men reportedly wore a blue bandana over his face and a dark hooded sweatshirt. The second suspect also wore a dark hooded sweatshirt with a dark mask over his face. Both men wielded rifles.

The men were reported to have taken money from cashier trays and the store's safe. They also allegedly stole two cell phones from employees.

The suspects were said to have fled the store on foot.

Those with information are asked to contact Searcy Police Department at 268-3531.
