Liberty Bowl executive high on Hogs

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - An executive with the Liberty Bowl says Arkansas would be an attractive choice for the game this year, but he wouldn't confirm if the Razorbacks have been invited.

Harold Graeter, the game's associate executive director, said the Memphis, Tenn., bowl has a Southeastern Conference team lined up, but is waiting for permission from the league office before announcing it.

Graeter went on to say the Liberty Bowl has been "very interested" in the Razorbacks. He said the bowl knows "what an exciting football team they are."

If chosen for the Liberty Bowl, Arkansas would face a Conference USA opponent. The Liberty Bowl will be played Jan. 2.
