KENNETT, MO (KFVS) - An almost 40 year old murder case comes to an end with 58-year-old Theodore Kleine found guilty of shooting a man and woman to death.
The shootings happened in Dunklin county in June of 1970.
Closing arguments began at around 9:30 Saturday morning and the jury deliberated for 90 minutes before they came up with their verdict.
The jury found Theodore Kleine guilty on two counts of first degree murder for the killings of Mary Suetter and Alan Bradford back in 1970.
Suetter and Bradford's families were both in attendance.
They hugged and cried as the judge read the verdict.
This verdict gives them the closure they've been searching for, for nearly 40 years.
"It's time. It was time for it to be over. If it wasn't for Mr. Sokoloff and Walter hearing, this would have never happened. They cooperated in every way. The whole family is very grateful," said Jim Bradford-Brother of Alan Bradford.
Kleine now faces a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
His sentencing is scheduled for January 13, 2010.
