Three in Region 8 facing meth charges after house catches fire

STEELE, MO (KAIT) – Steele Police and the Bootheel Drug Task Force arrest 3 people in connection with meth lab fire at a home.

According to Steele Police, the Steele Fire & Police Departments were called to a house fire on McCollum Street Tuesday night.

When fire crews were putting out the flames, the fire department notified police after finding possible a methamphetamine lab inside the residence.

Police say several items and chemicals associated with making meth were discovered and seized as evidence.

Three people, a 21-year-old female, 31-year-old female, and 36-year-old male were arrested and charged with attempting to manufacture a Controlled Substance. No names were released.

All three are in the Pemiscot County Jail.
