Sex offender arrested for failing to report work in Arkansas

BAXTER COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – A level 2 Missouri sex offender is behind bars for failing to report he was working in Arkansas.

According to the Baxter County Sheriff's Office, Daniel Teconchuk of Gainesville, Missouri, is charged with failure to register as a sex offender, and non-payment of fines.

According to the Baxter County Sheriff's Office, by law Teconchuk was suppose to report and verify his employment in Arkansas to the sheriff's office every six months.

Teconchuk was arrested Friday afternoon at his place of employment and is being held on $15,000 bond for failing to register as a sex offender, and $910 on the non-payment of fines.

Teconchuk is set to appear before a Circuit Court Judge on January 21st.
