Cape Girardeau, MO (KAIT) - Jeff Rider and Williams Baptist stepped up to Division 1 Saturday night against Southeast Missouri, but the Redhawks clawed the Eagles in a flurry.
Derek Thompson's 23 points and 6 trifectas helped SEMO rout WBC 116-60 in the Redhawks biggest margin of victory since joining Division 1 hoops in 1991.
SEMO tied a school record with 16 three pointers. Former Jonesboro High standout Lucas Nutt had his first career double-double with 10 points and 12 assists. Williams Baptist was led by reserve Kyle Harvey, who scored 13 points, and Wes Livingston chipped in 12.
SEMO forced 25 turnovers resulting in 35 points. They only turned the ball over 13 times.
