POCAHONTAS, Ark. (AP) - A Pocahontas business has told the mayor it will add at least 30 more jobs after receiving a state grant and money from the city.
Pinnacle Frame and Accents already had been awarded the $250,000 state grant and Pocahontas alderman voted Tuesday to give the company $35,000 more so that it can expand its operations.
Mayor Gary Crocker says the company has "guaranteed" it will hire at least 30 more workers. It already employs about 200 people.
The company produces plastic and wood frames and other types of picture frames.
Crocker says the state grant money and the money from the city will be given to the company by the end of this year or early next year.
