Illinois Hires Paul Petrino as Offensive Coordinator

Champaign, IL (KAIT) - According to the Champaign News-Gazette, Arkansas offensive coordinator Paul Petrino will take the same position in Illinois.

Petrino would replace Mike Schultz, who was one of four coaches Ron Zook fired Friday in a shakeup of his staff.

The younger brother of head coach Bobby Petrino, Paul has made seven stops in his 18 year coaching career. If he accepts the Illinois job, it would be his third offensive coordinator position.
