Underprivileged in Region 8 get helping hand

OSCEOLA, AR (KAIT) – The underprivileged in Mississippi County is getting a huge helping hand to get the program started.

Cokie Roberts and Mark Kennedy Shriver joined Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel Wednesday at Osceola High School for a check presentation.

All were on hand to present a $150,000 check to get the "Save the Children" program up and running. The program will help underprivileged children in Mississippi County by providing nutrition, literacy, and early development services.

Entergy also donated a check in the amount of $25,000 for the program.
