LAWRENCE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – Serving a warrant, Lawrence County police bust 2 on meth related charges.
On Wednesday the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department arrested Jeff Malone and Kayla Harber on several meth and firearms related charges.
According to police, deputies were serving a warrant on Jeff Malone for terroristic threatening and battery, when deputies found drug paraphernalia and firearms at the home. Malone is currently on parole for previous drug charges. Once at the residence the deputies found a large amount of meth along with several firearms and a large sum of cash that was stashed with the meth. Inside the residence deputies also found a little girl, so DHS was called to take the minor child into protective care.
Malone and Harber are charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (meth), possession of drug paraphernalia and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms. Malone was also charged with possession of firearms by a convicted felon, terroristic threatening and battery.
Malone's bond has been set at $165,000 on all charges, and Harber's bond was set at $15,000. Both are currently in the Lawrence County Jail.
