Region 8 man who faces 42 counts of burglary, in court Monday

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – Region 8 man faces 42 counts of residential burglary, 4 others arrested.

On Wednesday we first told you that Jonesboro Police busted what they called a huge burglary ring in Jonesboro, and Monday those suspects were in court.

According to police, Prince Kelton Smith is charged with 42 counts of residential burglary, and criminal mischief due to the damage that was done to the homes at the time of the break-in.

Smith also ingested a large amount of drugs to hide them from police, and had been in the hospital ever since. He was in court Monday and had his bond set at $500,000, and is due back in court on January 26th.

On Wednesday the 16th, Jonesboro Police along with member of the Prowl Unit recovered thousands of dollars worth of stolen property from a home on West Gordon.

Police also arrested Lorenzo Hampton, who used to play basketball at ASU, Alex Henry, Aquaino Henry and Brandon Young.
