Jonesboro, AR (KAIT) -Jonesboro Police ask you to lock your car doors after over 40 vehicles have been broken in to in the past two months.
Police tell Region 8 News the thieves look for unlocked vehicles and dig through them for any valuables including personal information and electronic devices. A number of cars have been stolen because the keys were left in the ignition. Several of the stolen vehicles have been found damaged or destroyed. The vehicle break-ins have been reported all over town.
If you have information about these crimes, call Crimestoppers at 935-STOP (7867). Police ask that you not only lock your car doors, but hide any valuables inside. They say doing both can help you from becoming a victim.
