JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The busiest shopping day of the year is Black Friday, as most retailers report, but the day after Christmas is also one of the busiest for exchanges and returns.
Stores like JCPenney, saw huge lines of people looking to exchange or return gifts that may have been slightly off in color, size or perhaps just an unwanted item.
Jonesboro JCP Store Manager Sandra Sneed says her store associates are happy to help people with those sorts of issues, "We have a no hassle refund policy, and we will do what we can do to take care of the customer."
Sneed said Saturday's lines at her customer service desk were as long as they have been all year, confirming the day's popularity for item returns/exchanges.
"My daughter wanted a black one," said one shopper. "She didn't like it," said another. Surprisingly, it was often the gift buyer, not just the recipient returning the item. In some cases, both brought the item back.
Thanks to the Internet, those exchanging items can usually get their correct size even if it is not in the store. Sneed says if you need an item her store doesn't have, they will order it for you from the JCPenney Website or through the catalog.
Just another way they can make customers happy and keep them coming back for more.
