Some court records soon to be available online

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Efforts to make more Arkansas court information available online are steadily progressing and state residents should be able to research some records online by the end of February. A state courts official says the Arkansas Court Automation Project also is looking into making it possible to pay traffic tickets online.

Tim Holthoff with the Administrative Office of the Courts says that initially, only docket information from circuit courts in Pulaski and Hot Spring counties will be available. Garland County Circuit Court records should come online by March and records from circuit courts in Faulkner and Sebastian counties should follow later in 2010.

District courts in Carlisle, Conway, Mount Ida, Batesville and Malvern also are part of the program. District courts in Little Rock, Fort Smith and Benton also are possibilities for the program.
