SALT LAKE CITY, Ark. -- Police near Salt Lake City say missing teenager Elizabeth Smart has been found alive.

According to police in Sandy, the 15-year-old girl was found in the car of a drifter who was pulled over in a traffic stop today.

A police spokeswoman said ``Two separate women called in and said they thought they had spotted `Emmanuel,'' whose real name is Brian David Mitchell. He once did work on the Smart's home.

Smart's uncle, Tom Smart reacted to the report by saying ``Miracles do exist.''

The Smart family became interested in Mitchell in mid-October when Elizabeth's younger sister, the sole witness in her disappearance, told her parents she thought he could have been the one who stole Elizabeth.

Elizabeth was 14 when she was seized early on the morning of June 5, 2002 in front of her nine-year-old sister by a gunman who may have gotten into the house by cutting a window screen near the back door.
