Kirk Botkin Resigns As Arkansas Defensive Ends Coach

Fayetteville (KAIT) - Bobby Petrino promoted Garrick McGee to offensive coordinator before the Liberty Bowl. Today, the University of Arkansas Athletic Department released a statement saying that Kirk Botkin has resigned his position as defensive ends coach.

Botkin played tight end for the Razorbacks from 1990-1993, making 87 receptions for 819 yards and 5 touchdowns. He played in the NFL for four seasons with the Patriots, Saints, and Steelers.

He made coaching stops at Robert E. Lee High School (Baytown, TX), Rice, Jacksonville State, and Louisiana-Monroe, before coming back to Fayetteville.

Botkin coached the Razorback special teams unit in 2008, before becoming defensive ends coach this past season.
