HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) - An auto parts factory in Heber Springs says it will hire 250 new workers and spend $14 million to expand its operation.
Saint Jean Industries makes aluminum parts for the automotive industry at its Heber Springs facility. The company announced Friday it has received several large orders from automotive companies and needs to expand its factory to fill them.
Saint Jean identified one customer as ZF, a large German supplier to the automotive industry, which placed orders for General Motors and Ford.
Prior to the expansion, Saint Jean had 180 workers in Heber Springs. The plant will have 430 employees after it expands.
Saint Jean also has factories in its home base of France and in Croatia and Germany.
