Dash cam video from a Jonesboro Police cruiser shows a  high speed chase earlier this week. Behind the wheel of the truck--police say is Timothy Davis. Investigators say he's responsible for a number of vehicle thefts dating back to the first of December. Police say he veered off into a field, left the vehicle, and fled on foot.  Police say he jumped out of the truck and avoided capture.  Fast forward a few days to Thursday,  when police say Timothy Davis' luck ran out.

"We learned of a location he was possibly going to be in Harrisburg.  We were able to take him into custody with the help of the Poinsett County Sheriff's Department and Harrisburg Police," said Jason Simpkins.

Police say Davis is in the Craighead County Jail  facing a lengthy list of charges including felony fleeing in a vehicle, arson, and theft of a motor vehicle over 25 hundred dollars.

"Some of the vehicles being recovered are wrecked, or burned, others have just been found abandoned," said Simpkins.

Simpkins says the vehicles stolen had the keys inside. He says they were stolen from neighborhoods and business lots across the city.

"We don't have a motive for the thefts, they were just taken and driven around," said Simpkins. Simpkins says this investigation is ongoing and police expect other arrests to be made.
