EL DORADO, Ark. (AP) - Police say they're working to discover the identity of a person whose skeleton was found in a wooded area at El Dorado. Police Capt. David Smith said Friday that investigators were awaiting a preliminary report from the state Crime Laboratory to identify the remains found Tuesday.
"With that report, we hope to find out if the remains are human, which we believe they are," Smith said. A man and his grandson found the bones and called 911. Police Chief Ricky Roberts said police found more remains while searching the area on Wednesday.
The remains were found in an area where the truck of 38-year-old Paul Morgan of El Dorado was found after he was reported missing last August. Police have not said if they believe the remains are Morgan's.
