Razorbacks DB Jerell Norton No Longer On The Team

Fayetteville (KAIT) - Head coach Bobby Petrino announced Saturday that defensive back Jerell Norton was no longer on the team.

Norton enrolled in school for the spring semester but has since withdrawn. He is not listed in the university's online student directory.

Petrino made the announcement of Norton's status on Saturday. Norton finished the last season with 14 tackles in 12 games, including two starts. He was the Razorbacks' interception leader in the 2007 season, with five grabs, but missed the 2008 season after undergoing hamstring and hernia operations.

He played both safety and cornerback in 2009, posting two interceptions and a fumble recovery, and was the top punt returner for Arkansas.
