I-155 MO bridge now re-opened

DYERSBURG, Tenn. (AP) - A Mississippi River bridge between Dyersburg in West Tennessee and Caruthersville, Mo., has been reopened.

The span on Interstate 155 was closed Monday afternoon while it was inspected for damage, but WMC-TV in Memphis reports it reopened around 9 p.m. CST.

The U.S. Coast Guard told the station that a tug vessel was heading south on the river when it collided with a bridge support.

The station says the collision sent some of the barges adrift, and river traffic was closed briefly while they were collected.
