LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- State emergency manager Bud Harper says the agency is working today with the Arkansas National Guard and State Police to make sure they are all on the same page as the country goes on higher alert.

Harper says the state Emergency Management Department also is looking at critical infrastructure in the state to make sure those places have increased security and patrols.

Security is being increased throughout the state and the public will see a greater number of police cars on the highway, at plants, railyards and bridges.
