Celebrities team up to help Haiti now

New York, NY (KAIT) –

Hundreds of celebrities will take part in tonight's "Hope for Haiti Now" telethon to be broadcast on every network, including ABC.

The telethon will feature performances by Sting, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Shakira, Jennifer Hudson and others.

George Clooney, who organized the event, says he hopes people will give what they can.

On Good Morning America Friday, Clooney said, "It can be anything, five dollars.  It can be anything. Whatever way you can help.  But be involved.  It's a big world out there and we all have a lot responsibility to look out for those who can't look out for themselves."

The telethon will air from 7-9pm CDT on nearly every broadcast network and dozens of cable stations.
