Fayetteville police seek hit & run driver

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Little Rock police have arrested a man in connection with a fatal hit & run accident last month in Fayetteville.

Officers said Monday that Robert Lee Ehrhardt was taken into custody Saturday on a felony charge of leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.

It wasn't immediately known whether he had an attorney.

Police says Ehrhardt admitted striking 28-year-old Shamika Redden, panicking and then leaving the scene without stopping. Redden's body was found on Mount Comfort Road early Dec. 13.

Investigators determined she had been hit first by a 1985 to 1990 Chevrolet or a GMC S-10 Blazer or pickup truck. Ehrhardt was questioned then arrested after a police officer spotted him driving a black S-10 pickup that was missing its grill and had front-end damage.
