ORAN, MO (KAIT) – The man accused of dumping mail in Southeast Missouri, pleaded not guilty in a Missouri courtroom Wednesday.

Lance Kinder is accused of dumping mail along the Diversion Channel back in November 2009. United States Postal Service investigators arrested 25-year-old Kinder on a felony count of delaying or destroying mail back on January 26th.

In November 2009, a local man and son found mail along the Diversion Channel. Investigators say around 600 to 1,000 pieces of mail should have been delivered to people in Sikeston, Dexter, Kennett, New Madrid, Hayti, Caruthersville, and Jackson.

Kinder is due back in court at the end of the month.
