JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The freezing rain and sleet changed to snow by mid morning Friday in Region 8.
Five inches of snow was reported on the ground in Batesville with lesser amounts all across northern and northeastern Arkansas and southeast Missouri.
A large mass of moisture is headed for the region which could mean well over a foot of snow in some locations. Jonesboro and Paragould are on track to see between 7 and 12 inches of snow before it tapers off sometime Saturday morning.
