CONWAY, Ark. (AP) - A man who pleaded guilty to killing a Conway florist has been sentenced to life in prison as part of a plea deal.

Charles Earl Glenn was sentenced Monday in Faulkner County Circuit Court for the June 2007 death of 47-year-old Cynthia Farmer.

Prosecuting Attorney Marcus Vaden says he believes the death penalty would be appropriate in the case - but agreed to the plea deal because Farmer's daughters asked for it. 1 of the daughters had found Farmer's body tied to the bed in her apartment with her throat cut.

Glenn was arrested on a parole violation before Farmer's body was found. He was later found to be carrying Farmer's personal items - including debit cards.
