Semi accident shuts down busy intersection for an hour

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – Jonesboro Police and Fire Departments responded to a 3-car accident at the intersection of Race Street and Caraway Tuesday afternoon.

JPD tells Region 8 News the crash involved a semi-tractor-trailer and 2 cars during the lunch hour rush.

Three people were transported to area hospitals.

The intersection of Race & Caraway was shut down for over an hour while crews cleaned up the accident. The intersection is back open.

No word yet on what caused the accident, police are still investigating.
