ASU Women Throttled by UALR 79-48 on Wednesday

Little Rock (KAIT) - Brian Boyer and ASU played underdog Wednesday night, hoping to snap UALR's 11 game winning streak.

Chastity Reed thought otherwise. She had 37 points to help the Lady Trojans throttle the Lady Red Wolves 79-48. Two other UALR players were in double figures. Kim Sitzmann had 12, and Asriel Rolfe had 11.

Nine different ASU players scored Wednesday night, but none in double figures. Que McDowell and Shay Scott each had 8 points, while the Sun Belt player of the week Ebonie Jefferson was held to 6 points. ASU made only one 3-pointer and turned the ball over 25 times.

The loss drops the Lady Red Wolves to 9-13, 4-7 in the Sun Belt. They'll travel to New Orleans Saturday in the first game of a Privateer doubleheader. Tipoff is at 4:30pm.
