ASU Track & Field return to action at MTSU Invitational

JONESBORO (2/5/10) – The Arkansas State track & field teams return to action after being forced to cancel their last trip to the Jayhawk Invitational traveling to conference foe Middle Tennessee for the Middle Tennessee Invitational Saturday.

The Red Wolves are fresh off a pair of first-place team finishes at the ASU Invitational which was hosted at the ASU Convocation Center.

ASU continues to climb the conference standings holding 12 top five marks in the men's rankings including holding league-best marks in the distance medley relay and the heptathlon which was set by Ethan Turpin.

On the women's side the Red Wolves also hold 12 top five marks including leading the conference in the distance medley relay and the pentathlon after Carolyn Lewis won the event at the ASU Invitational.

The Red Wolves women also sit in first through fourth places in the pole vault led by sophomore Stephanie Foreman who has already provisionally qualified for the NCAA Indoor.

Events will begin at 10 a.m. with the men's and women's weight throw and conclude at 3:40 p.m. with the men's and women's mile relay. Full results will be available at Middle Tennessee's website
