Winter Storm Warning in effect for parts of Region 8

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Another round of snow began falling overnight Sunday into Monday morning, making bridges and overpasses slick for the morning commute.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Northeast Arkansas and the Missouri Bootheel.  The National Weather Service says heavy snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches are expected in these counties with locally heavier amounts possible.

Light snow is moving into Region 8 and will continue across the area Monday with the intensity of the snow increasing.  The snow may mix with rain over parts of Region 8 on Monday afternoon, but will change back to all snow, mainly after dark Monday night.

Travel conditions are likely to become hazardous and will continue to deteriorate throughout the day on Monday.
