LAWRENCE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – A Lawrence County man is in jail charged with stealing a Portia Water Department truck and trying to break into a local pharmacy.

According to the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department, Paul Goodson went to the Portia City Water Department and stole their Ford pickup.

A short time later police say Goodson then tried to break in a pharmacy in Imboden. Neighbors heard the stores alarm going off, and called 9-1-1. The witnesses said they saw a Poria Water Department truck fleeing the scene.

Police later found Goodson in Black Rock where he was arrested. Goodson told police he was trying to find some cocaine.

No damages were reported at the pharmacy and the truck was returned to the Portia Water Department.
